DBT IYBA 2014 notification Nov 9th 2013, 10:01, by nbm DBT Innovative Young Biotechnologist Award 2014 Department of Biotechnology (DBT), invites applications for ‘Innovative Young Biotechnologist Award’ (IYBA), to identify and nurture outstanding young scientists with innovative ideas and desire to pursue research in frontier areas of biotechnology. Age should be less than 35 years. The award will consist of financial support for a project and Cash Award/fellowship for the awardees. Awardees having a regular employment will receive a cash award of Rs. 1.00/- Lakh every year during the course of the project in addition to grants-in-aid of Rs. 50.00/- Lakhs for a project. The awardees, those are not in the regular employment will receive a fellowship of Rs. 40,000/- per month with grants-in-aid and shall be attached to a Senior Scientist (Mentor) in a University, Research Institute, Medical/ Agriculture/  Veterinary College or any other institute of repute. HIHT University PGMEE 2014 for MD/MS/Diploma admissions Nov 8th 2013, 10:04, by nbm HIHT University Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (PGMEE-2014) for MD/MS/Diploma admissions 2014 HIHT University invites application from eligible candidates for admission into various Post Graduate (MD/MS/Diploma) programs offered by its Medical College (Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences) for the academic year 2014 through Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (PGMEE-2014). Eligibility (i) A candidate, who holds an MBBS degree from a recognized medical college or a foreign medical degree included in the schedules of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and who has obtained full registration either from the Medical Council of India (MCI) or from any of the State Medical Councils after completing compulsory rotating internship, shall be eligible to take this examination. (ii) A candidate, who after passing the final qualifying examination (MBBS or the foreign medical degree recognized by MCI), is undergoing a 12 month compulsory rotating internship and is likely to complete the same by 31st March of the admission year, can also take up this examination. The candidate must produce a certificate from the head of the institution that he/she will be completing internship by 31st March of the admission year. But he/she will not be eligible for admission unless he/she has completed the compulsory rotating internship and obtained full registration on or before 31st March of the admission year. (iii) The cut-off dates for the recognition of Medical Colleges for the year of admission will be 31st October of the previous year. The colleges recognized after this date will not be considered.
